Cases are generally a grey powder-coated steel with rubber feet. All units utilise a toroidal transformer which has the advantage of smaller size, lighter weight, lower operating temperature and lower acoustic noise than a conventional transformer.

Many configurations and sizes are available. The most common configuration is 240V:110V output isolation type and this is a stock item in most sizes. Other configurations are stocked on an irregular basis.

All models with input currents up to 10A are supplied with a 2 metre IEC cord with 3 pin plug. This is an Australian plug for 240V and a US plug for 100 - 120V.  15A inputs have a captive cord with plug. Inputs greater than 15A are terminated in a panel mounted terminal block.  For all 240V output model a single output socket is privided up to 2400VA.

For 100 - 120V output models a single 3 pin socket is fitted up to 1500VA and dual sockets for 2000 to 2500 VA. Additional sockets may be fitted to all but the 60VA model.

All models up to 15A input utilise primary circuit protection.  This is either TDS504/IEC127 delay fuse or a thermal circuit breaker, depending on the model . Additionally, models from 160VA up with input currents less than 15A are fitted with inrush limit circuitry to eliminate potential problems with MCBs in distribution boards.  For input currents greater than 30A input protection configuration is subject to negotiation.

Standard configuration, 240V primaries:
120 - 2500VA, IEC fused inlet with cord and 3 pin plug.

100 & 110V primaries:
60VA - 625VA input fuse, 800 - 2500VA i/p c/b. 15A 3 pin plug fitted for sizes to 1500VA: hard wired for 2000VA & larger.

240V secondaries:
Single 3 pin socket to 2000VA; dual switched sockets 2500 - 4000VA; quad sockets 5000VA.

100 & 110V secondaries:
Single 3 pin socket to 1500VA; dual 3 pin sockets 2000 - 3000VA; triple 3 pin sockets 4000VA; quad 3 pin sockets 5000VA.

Options:
